• Question: how and when was the first tree grown

      Not just animals evolved from lesser animals. Plants also evolved. Trees evolved from plants that were no trees. It’s a bit like asking how the first hen appeared. It also evolved from previous animals.

      Did you know that the Earth’s oldest known tree stood nearly 30 feet tall and looked like a modern palm? Interesting, no? 😉

      The earliest agriculture (humans planting plants) was around 12000 years ago, but this was mostly corn, wheat and other plants for food. The first human-planted tree is less well known, but it was probably much more recently when we finally started to realise that we’d run out of trees if we kept chopping them down and not replacing them!
