Question: What’s your favourite bird type?

My favourite bird is the European nightjar – it is a ground nesting bird that spends the winter in Africa and the summer in Europe. It doesn’t come all the way to Scotland, where i live now, because the habitat is not right and it’s too cold.
They like to camouflage themselves so they need the right kind of ground to nest on. But they don’t even actually build a proper nest – they just lay their eggs in a small bare patch of ground. They only eat moths and beetles and fly around at night to catch them with their HUGE mouths!
