      I think the telephone is a pretty good one! I mean how else would I call my friends???

    There are so many great inventions but my favourite is the discovery of penicillin by Alexander Flemming. This discovery led to the introduction and mass production of antibiotics that greatly reduced the number of deaths from infection.
