I think it’s to get rid of foreign bodies or mucus in our mouth and nose… but I don’t really know!

Sneezing is our bodies way of getting rid of irritating things inside our nose. This could be dust, pollen (especially in summer) or mucus. It is controlled by the ‘sneeze centre’ inside our brains which coordinates all the muscles needed to make you sneeze – these include your stomach muscles and your voice box. It’s ridiculously efficient and can get up so speeds of 70mph!
