My dad says that an old good specification analogue oscilloscope, is usually better than a new digital one even though

Question: My dad says that an old good specification analogue oscilloscope, is usually better than a new digital one even though it is harder to calculate the results you need. Is that true ?

  I honestly don’t know if he has a point, it sounds like he knows a lot more about oscilloscopes that I do (Last time I used one was 7 years ago!).

  One thing with analogue compared to digital is that it’s usually easier to fix analogue stuff…
