• Question: What happens if you have too many Immunoglobulins in your blood?

      Interesting question! If you have FAR too many immunoglobulins in your blood, it can make your blood very thick and sticky and make you liable to blood clots, or cold hands. This really only happens though if one of your immunoglobulin cells goes crazy and makes far too much. Otherwise, when we send blood to a lab they can measure immunoglobulins and tell us what the normal values are. If someone has over the normal value of immunoglobulins, it might tell us that they currently have an infection, or have infammation, somewhere in their body. On the other hand, if their immunoglobulins are measured and they are low, it might tell US as doctors that their immune system isnt working very well.
