I participated in a study which was investigating a particular bacteria that could live in the nose. She used a pipette to inject proteins from the bacteria up my nose! that was pretty disgusting, over the following days I had to go back for blood and urine tests but also she put water up my nose and I had to snort it out for her to test. Again pretty disgusting but all in the name of science

I had a class about parasites, and we had to look for parasites in human faeces. Thankfully it was the teacher who prepared the microscope slides but the smell was still bad. And we could tell what the people had eaten because we could see the bits of plants in the samples…
Another time I was taking part in a study where I had to give some blood. The person who took ny blood wasn’t careful with the syringe and sprayed my white shirt, it looked like a scene from a horror movie.

Not really, thankfully! I have worked a lot with animal and human tissue in my lab. It doesn’t bother me but some people don’t like the smell of it.

Hmm… it depends on your definition of disgusting! You get used to most things I suppose, but for me, harvesting worms from the guts of infected mice was probably one thing that most people would find disgusting, especially when you can still see them moving!
