• Question: Do you know if there are any replacements for plastic currently being created by scientists?

      There are a number of substitutes for plastics, some of these include mushrooms, seaweed and seafood bio products to make eco-friendly disposable plastics

      Yes! Sian is right. They even have plastic replacement for the little clear window you get on boxes to see what’s inside (such as pizzas etc). It’s made of cellulose which is plant based, and is completely biodegradable. How do we get food manufacturers to stop using plastics and start using things like cellulose? Good question – but as consumers, I think we’ve got to stop buying the plastics!
