      Spot on. White blood cells are a normal part of the immune system. They cruise around the body, looking for infections, fighting them and remembering them for next time. Cancer cells could come from ANY cell in the body, including white blood cells. They form when a cell loses control of its own growth cycle and starts growing and dividing much too quickly.
