• Question: Are cells considered living organisms

      Definitely! Many single-cell organisms like amoeba are definitely alive and (like the name suggests) they only have one cell.

      One of the features of more complicated organisms is multicellularity – they have lots of cells which work together as tissues. But a single cell is definitely alive.

      Some cells like red blood cells don’t have much DNA, though, and they can’t replicate – so maybe those don’t count as living. I’m not sure!
