• Question: What was the first infection in the world?

      Hi Thaadsa,

      Hmmm! That is an interesting question. I am not sure if we have a clue as to what the first infection in the history of the world might be. Infection can be such a broad term anyhow. However, with human species beginning to live in groups and become hunter/gatherers I would expect there would have been wounds from hunting and fighting for food that would have been fatal due to the would becoming infected (e.g. by natural skin bacteria). Microorganisms are so much older than humans.

      Well the simplest things would have been a little bit like bacteria and we know that there are viruses that infect bacteria. So I guess it was something like that
