      Hi 454sysb37.

Great question. Microbial Oceanography is AMAZING. Most people want to study the big things in the ocean (we call it megaflora) but actually, nothing would survive in the ocean if there were not microbes there recycling and producing nutrients to feed into the food web. So, if it were not for bacteria to feed the plankton, there wouldn’t be any plankton for wales to consume. Everything boils down to microbes in the ocean and how the recycle and produce. This is the link about the course I did in Bermuda. It got me hooked on science in general for good.
