  I have not worked with private companies but I have collaborated with them.
  
  I think the genetic advances that are still amazing are the advances in making machines that can sequence DNA. All of the DNA of a person is called their genome. The human genome is DNA composing of 3.2 billion letters of chemical code. The first human genome took years to sequence and now you can sequence a human genome in a few days and it is getting faster.
