Part of the immune system called the innate immune system you are born with and develops very early on in embryo development.
The other part is the adaptive immune system that responds to new and novel “threats” and does things like produce antibodies. This starts as soon as you are born but takes a while to get going- about 4 months which is why breast milk is good for babies as it is full of antibodies.
So the first 4 months are possibly the weakest.
