Question: on a scale of 1-10, how much do you like helping with cancer?

Without a shadow of a doubt, this is going to be 10 ( assuming 10 is extremely likely).
My entire life I have known people who have had cancer. Some of my family members, friends and colleagues have been affected by this disease.
So when I wake up every single morning I know I am fighting something that is so personal to me. This disease has affected my loved ones so much that I know, if I can make a difference in someone’s life by helping cure cancer , helping them decrease the pain of cancer, or just by being there for them and giving them the hope that it can be conquered, makes my job completely worthwhile.

I am not saying that this is an easy job. It is hard to see people go through such a hard disease, and sometimes you feel like you can’t do anything to help them. But that is not true , every little bit helps. I have had patients come up to me and tell me that just talking to me has boosted their spirits and desire to conquer this cancer. This gives me the motivation to develop even more advanced radiation therapy technology that will help cure all sorts of cancer.
I like helping with cancer care. I do not think of it as a job anymore, it’s my way of life.
