• Question: What is the most exciting thing about your work?? and why??

      Meeting the teenagers/adolescents who have type 1 diabetes. I don’t have type 1 diabetes- so its pretty impossible for me to suggest I am in their shoes- but I find them fascinating, the challenges they have- and anything I can do to help them is pretty exciting and rewarding too!

      I suppose just discovering new things in the lab and I love teaching and the challenge of that

      I find it really exciting when I hear that a patient is pregnant, especially if I’ve done the sperm preparation for the IVF treatment. I think I get more excited because I think about how happy and excited the patient must be.
