I would try to live as healthy a life as possible to avoid developing type 2 diabetes. If I develop either type of diabetes I would follow my doctors advice to make sure I can maintain as healthy and high quality of life as possible. I would also make sure I took my medication.

      – Maintain a healthy lifestyle through diet and exercise.
      – Take medication/insulin at the right times (I know someone who forgets and it bugs me because it’s so important)
      – Regularly monitor blood sugar levels

Depends on the type. If type 1- insulin it is, along with a good peer group for support and a trained health care professional to guide
If type 2, healthy lifestyle, looking after yourself- as well as a supportive health care professional team
