      wow thats a really complicated one and we don’t fully understand the answer.

      Hormones can activate or deactivate machinery in our muscle cells that builds new muscles and also the machinery that breaks down our muscles.

      There are a number of things in our cells that build and destroy them and these control how much muscle we have.
