• Question: Does studying abroad give you a wider variety of educational experience, if so how? Does it have any benefits? Do you recommend students to study abroad after they have finished school?

My experience studying my PhD in Canada was invaluable and it taught me a lot. I think the benefits of travelling, whether to study or work, provide an amazing enhacement of life. I would never have become a scientist if I had not gone to the US after school and landed a job as a lab technician at MIT in Boston. It was only then I decided to come back to London where I took my first degree. Then, of course, I went back across the water to Canada. I also spent 6 months travelling round Canada, and another time 3 months travelling round the States. I still have itchy feet and travel when I can.
