Unlike some other types of cancer, nearly all men with testicular cancer are cured. It’s rare for testicular cancer to come back more than 5 years later. However, the outlook is obviously a lot better when caught early.
I think (and very much hope) in the future that there will be a definite cure to testicular cancer at most stages.
Current treatments for testicular are very effective but there is always research going on to see if the treatments can be improved. For example, some researchers are looking at how good different combinations of chemotherapy drugs could be. There is also research looking at the genes that can increase the risk. There are always companies trying to improve equipment (ie. scanning equipment) to make it easier for earlier diagnosis.
