We all have hormones circulating in us from when we are in the womb as a growing fetus. Some people may not make enough or any of a certain type of hormone so may develop differently and/or need medication to compensate for this loss. For example in type 1 diabetes people do not produce their own insulin (a hormone required to reduce blood sugar levels) so need to have regular injections of synthetic insulin to survive.
If you’re meaning the effects of hormones, yes. And I certainly experienced the different effects at different stages of my life. With regard to puberty-related hormones, I was a late developer but soon caught up.
More recent hormone news for me though is that I have an imbalance of some hormones resulting in polycystic ovary syndrome.
