• Question: Wouldn't it be more useful to give some money to charity

      The money awarded at the end of the two weeks is donated by the Wellcome trust http://www.wellcome.ac.uk/ which is a charity. They work hard to provide health improvements for animals and humans through scientific research. The money has to be used to communicate our work. This can mean showing other people and scientists what work we have done, or it could mean that we get to introduce aspects of science to the general public and make them more aware of research that is happening.

      Can you see how this would help achieve the goals of the Wellcome Trust?
