There are people studying the weather in just about every country in the world! The weather in Spain is interesting and important too but somebody who likes hot countries is working there, I like snow so I came here!
Also, people have been living in Spain for hundreds of years finding out about weather patterns there and keeping a record so we can see how things are changing. Here in Antarctica it is much more difficult to live and study so we know much less. I find it really exciting working in a place that is so mysterious. Every time I put in a weather station it fills in a gap the size of a whole European country that we knew nothing about before. And that also means I get to land in a ski plane in a place where no person has ever been before to put the weather station up!
