Well it is a long story!

I worked in computers and IT for a long time not doing any scientific research. I taught computer science, I helped people with computer problems and I wrote programmes.

Then I discovered that programming could be used as a way of doing real scientific work and I was hooked! I applied for a job where I could use my computer skills to help with studying the brain.

The brain is amazing and we don’t really understand how it works so it is all really interesting. That is enough for a very curious person like me!
