That is an interesting question with a VERY long answer – but don’t worry I will give you the short version.
We still have almost no clue how brains work!
It is true that we have a lot of measurements and experiment on the brain which allow people to form theories. It is also true that we know a LOT more than we did 10 years ago. But the brain is in most ways still an undiscovered country.
We have a very crude outline map of this country but we have no idea how it’s government works, what the language is and so on. We (including YOU) have the chance to be among the first to `step-ashore’. I know that sounds a bit daft but it is true.
