I just found it really interesting to understand the science of the world around us – What made the stars? How does the body work? Why is the sky blue? Why is blood red? And then I was really hooked when I realised you could do experiments to answer some of these questions (and other questions other people hadn’t even thought of yet!).

Science also has practical benefits so it was easier to get jobs in it than some other subjects I was interested in (like history and english literature)
