Can’t remember – long time ago. I passed English, Maths, Biology, and Chemistry with B or C grades. That was enough. There were two or three others. Geology was one of them.
My GCSE results were as follows:
Dual Science A*A*
Food Technology A*
Business Studies A*
English Language A*
English Literature A
Drama A
History A
Maths A
German C
Food Technology was my favourite subject. I like cooking, I like food, and it was applied science. Ticks every box 🙂
But why – unlike Martin – have I remembered this useless bit of information? Can’t I kick it out of my brain to make way for something else? I guess our brains don’t work that way. Or perhaps I was remembering it because deep down I knew I would get asked it by a student on a web page 30 years later? So thank you for asking this question and making my memory worth it! Interestingly my daughter has chosen to do nearly all the same subjects as me. I don’t think she wants to be a scientist though …..

Actually, just like Chris I am actually too old to have done GCSE – they were called O-Levels as he says.

My brain is VERY strong on patterns and concepts but has always been weak on detail! LOL
