Mr Shirley, my physics teacher at school. He was mad (actually I bumped into him recently – he still is.) He used to jump off tables and hang form the ceiling to demonstrate gravity, he had a reverse vacuum cleaner that he used for experiments that spewed out air that he’d use to make his hair stick up and he always made us laugh. What was infectious was that he found everything so interesting and always had an example of where in life whatever facts he taught us were useful. He definitely made me want to leanr more, though I have stuck to my own fashion sense rather than copying his.
