I listen to classical music to concentrate my thinking (mostly Mozart, Vivaldi, Brahms, Bach, and Haydn). But I listen to rock (Clapton, Joe Cocker, Stones) or jazz to animate my writing!

      Hi @Victoria,
Yes, music can help me when I’m working in the laboratory or analysing results but, if I have to study or concentrate 100% on a task then I know that I work better with complete silence. So, when I was revising for my exams in school and university, I couldn’t have any music or sounds, like the tv, on in the background as I would get distracted and start singing along or watching to program and I would realise that many minutes had passed and I wasn’t concentrating anymore! Thanks, Gemma
