I guess it depends for what I’m trying to cope with, but generally I find talking to people about whatever is stressing me out or what I’m finding difficult really helps. If I kept it to myself I think I’d burst! People aren’t so different from each other, and we normally can empathise or relate to what each other are going through, which I find really helpful. Plus, it’s really good to get some reassurance or feedback or just someone to tell you ‘don’t worry you can get through this’.
I also try to see the positive side of things and appreciate what I do have. So if I have a bad day, I think about how lucky I am to have friends to talk to or money to feed myself and a house to stay warm in.
