When we hear about serious issues that could be a safeguarding issue (something that could lead to serious harm or neglect) then we raise it with the Local Healthwatch that provided the information to us to make sure they took all the necessary steps to make sure help can be available to the person. We also write reports about things that need to improve. For instance, the most recent report we published was about continence care (care that people need when they struggle to control going to the toilet) because we heard about lots of negative feedback about the care that was being provided here. This report raises awareness of the issue and goes out to the public and to influential people who can help to make changes.
