• Question: Why do our ears not hurt if we press it

      The nerve endings/receptors in the skin on your ear are much less sensitive than say the ones on your fingers. They can still detect pain and send that signal to your brain, but it takes a lot more pressure before it registers as pain. 🙂

      Mine do! But I suspect it’s to do with pressure. I’m not sure though. Sorry.

      A lot of the nerves are in the inner ear – so you get an ear ache sometimes (and due to pressure build up), the skin, however needs a large pain input to react.
