Scientists are incredibly stubborn people (they don’t give up easily even if they fail like 100 times). Other than that they do have other scientist friends with whom they develop new ideas and invent some incredibly new things. Some scientists are extremely passionate about pursuing an area of research they cant help thinking about each day. The credit is due to their teachers as well but also to their friends who have taught them/helped them in school. I still remember one of my friend who taught me chemistry at school (I was not able to follow what the teacher said). Even if he is not a scientist today I cant forget that it is he who taught me and made me understand. So yes…we never stop learning and questioning!

I agree with Bruno. The biggest thing is dealing with rejection and failure as we all face them. But it’s the people who learn when to give up and when to keep going that are the biggest winners in the end.

Scientists don’t give up easily – even when things don’t work.
Some things that they have designed may nowt be used for the original purpose. For example superglue was originally designed to help seal wounds closed during military fighting – now we use it to glue chairs and pots together.
