That it is forever changing and there’s always new to learn. I really enjoy the problem solving aspect and being able to test lots of different theories to find the correct answer.
I particularly like human biology and being able to learn all the amazing things the human body can do.
My favourite thing about science is that there’s always new information coming out which changes the way we see the world and our place in it – from how cells function to how different human populations have moved around in the distant past, to new tiny molecules within atoms. And dinosaurs.
My favourite thing about learning science at school was the experiments; and in a way that is what I still do every day. Learning about the human body was amazing – it really is incredible how everything works without us knowing; and we continue to learn more.
At work, I like the combination of doing something practical to answer a question; I like the mix of manual and automated work – I get to work with microscopes to complex machines that are twice my size.
