      This is actually surprisingly difficult to give an answer to- not everyone has the same number and it also depends on what you say is a separate vein from another. Most people tend to think there are 34 major veins but then there also many more smaller ones through the body.

      I have not studied this, but when I searched some articles online it seems we have over 200 veins. There are some major veins and other smaller veins in different parts of the body
