Dark energy, although I’m not sure it qualifies as an object! It is, however, unquestionably the most mysterious component of the universe: it makes up about 70% of the energy density of the universe, but we don’t know how it works, what it is, whether its properties change with time or indeed anything else about it. Dark matter is nice and straightforward by comparison.
