We are only restricted to 3 dimensions if we consider ‘a dimension’ as geometric space. These dimensions are left/right, forward/backward, and up/down (or x, y and z).

Actually, any property of an object can be a ‘dimension’. So we could consider ‘fluffiness’, ‘weight’ or ‘time’ as dimensions.

Many people often consider time to be the fourth dimension.
