  I have used some pretty big magnets. We have two here in Nottingham, the biggest one goes to magnetic fields strengths over 18 Tesla. For reference a standard bar magnet is around 0.01 Tesla. I used it to levitate water droplets that had small amounts of polymer dissolved in it. And yes… water is magnetic!! It is” paramagnetic” which is an effect you only see if you have a really big magnet!!
  
  But anyway, I like big magnets so would definitely keep it.
