Question: if Jupiter was habitable and you grew up there. Because the gravity in Jupiter is stronger and then come to Earth would you be like super strong?
The gravity at the visible surface of Jupiter (which is actually the top of the clouds) is about 2.5 times the Earth’s gravity. Let’s assume that you grew up in a colony that was maintained at this height in Jupiter’s atmosphere by some sort of balloon arrangement (since if you tried to go down to Jupiter’s rocky core you would be thoroughly squashed by the pressure).
Your body weight is proportional to your volume. But the strength of your bones is only proportional to the cross-sectional area of your bone – not its volume. Therefore, to support 2.5 times the weight, your leg bones would need to be about 60% thicker than they would be on Earth. You’d probably be short and squat.
You would definitely be a world-class weightlifter on Earth. Sprinting, however, would not be your forte.
