Much the same as I do now (walking, birdwatching, listening to music – preferably live). I also played the guitar, incredibly badly; I gave it up out of consideration for other people!

Played music. I played in bands, orchestras, choirs, string quartets and world music ensembles of many varieties.

I mainly played piano and cello. Other instruments I have dabbled in include percussion (mainly ones in samba music), the sitar, bass, clarinet, guitar, recorders, synthesisers.

I also loved recording music. Over the years, I slowly saved up all my money and set up something that sort of resembled a home studio. Not very complex, but enough to record my band and mess around composing.

It varied throughout the years, from GSCE up I was really into running and basketball so they stole a lot of my free time. Before that I was rarely found outside and spent hours in front of various video games.

In fact none of those hobbies have really changed… I’ve added a crippling caffeine addiction to the roster which means one of my favourite pastimes has become drinking coffee. Does that count as an activity?
