Question: Why do you like li-on batteries

Very good question. I think really, I like this topic because it combines two areas of interest – energy and materials. I always find it fascinating how we can make a material in the lab and then make it into a working device. Inside Li-ion batteries there are quite a few materials inside, and we have to initially design the right materials to then think about how to make the batteries as best as they can be. There’s lots of science and engineering involved!
