I must admit the species I study, dwarf mongooses, are one of the cutest I have seen. Particularly their pups, which when they are born are about 6 cm – tiny!
I think for me, being able to get a real insight into the behaviour of an animal, like I am able to with the dwarf mongooses, makes the animal cuter. I regularly get to watch baby mongooses playfight with each other, which is adorable!
I mostly work with shrimp, crabs and lobsters, but I have to admit that I have a soft spot for some furry animals too.
In my opinion, the cutest animal I have ever seen is probably a baby otter. They’re just so adorable with their fluffy fur, playful personalities, and love for swimming around in the water. I can’t help but smile every time I see one!
