Light travels at 300,000,000 metres per second – this will be constant.
If we want to know how far light travels in an hour, we need to know how many seconds are in an hour.
60 seconds in a minute.
60 minutes in a hour.
So 60 x 60 = 3600 seconds in a hour.
We can then take the speed of light and multiply by the amount of seconds in a hour, to get the distance.
This follows the relationship of distance = speed multiplied by time.
So the speed of light will travel 1,080,000,000,000 metres in an hour!!!
