Question: How long does batteries stay up for?

This depends on the type of battery and what it is being used for. Powering a laptop requires more energy than powering a phone, so a battery will run out quicker in a laptop than in a phone. Most phone/laptop batteries are generally designed to last for about 10-15 hours though. Over time this will reduce because every time you charge up a battery, it can hold a little less electricity so after a long time they need replacing (and this is part of the reason we need people researching how to improve batteries)
