Most axolotls grow up to 9 inches (or 22 cm) but some can grow up to 18 inches (45 cm) in the wild! How much they grow depends on where they live, how much space they have to grow or how much they eat. About what do axolotls eat: worms, insects, small fish, and sometimes take a bite of other axolotls! They are carnivores. In the lab, we feed them tiny shrimps when they are young and dry food pellets when they grow a little bigger.
