      The batteries I made during my PhD, and the batteries I now recycle have not blown up!!

      I know students like explosions, but if this happened in our research lab, I’d get into a lot of trouble! With our experiments we need to make sure we are safe.

      On that note, some people do research into the safety of batteries.
