We test medicines on animals before humans mainly to check that that they work and don’t have any serious side effects before you give it to a human. There are a lot of ethical questions around this, because some people think that animals should be treated equally to humans – and it’s up to you to decide what you think about it. In my opinion, I think it is worth it if the end product is a medicine that could one day save somebody’s life. Hope that helps!
