• Question: If you where to accidently invented a medication that cured all cancer (like Alexander Fleming with Penicillin) how would you use this new knowledge?

      Interesting question. I think I would patent it (that means protect the intellectual property so that other people cant steal my idea and make lots of money out of it) and then think very carefully about how to market it. As it would require lots of testing (like clinical trials) to check it was safe and works, it might be easier to sell the knowledge to a big drug company for them to get it to market.

      However, as cancer is a umbrella word for lots of different diseases, there won’t just be one medicine that will cure all of it, so unfortunately I think this scenario is unlikely!
