haha I felt I might get this question! It happened one night, about 10 years ago. I was still doing accounting and economics at 6th form but was quite unhappy with the subjects – they didn’t interest me at all but I was doing them through a combination of parent’s advice and my own uncertainty in what I wanted to do later in life.

On this night, I was walking Che (my dog)under a particularly clear nights sky. I had always loved wondering about the bigger questions and the stars and blackness of space always encouraged this wondering. It was on this walk that I decided on many things – that I wanted to fill my life with things deeper than finance, that I could study space as a scientist and that I had to quit accounts and economics. The rest is history.

My doggy, who was an excited 1 year old back then -is still alive now but has become a grumpy old man who sits on the sofa all day! He’s still cuddly and loved, even though he grumbles every time you hug him!
