      According to Cancer Research UK, there are 375,000 new cancer cases in the UK every year which amounts to around 1,000 every day. These stats are from 2016-18, so fairly old now!

      We have better methods for diagnosing cancer now than we did 10, 20, 30 years ago so more people are being diagnosed with cancer, which is unfortunate, however diagnosing cancer when it’s in an early stage is actually very beneficial to the patient. If the cancer is diagnosed early, the patient can be treated and more likely will survive longer.

      The latest stats (from MacMillan) estimate there are over 3 million people living with cancer in the UK, with around new 391,000 cases every year.
